Yo Alf

U run a Jap Sword Website...I run across those fairly often in my looking around...I have avoided them because I know nothing about them....

I do know that the ones made before the Meiji period can be worth lots... and that whats looks like a WW2 sword can be quiet old.

That the run of the mill WW2 J sword is worth a few hundred.

But I don't know the difference between old and newer?

So talk to me...maybe I can turn U on to the location of some of these swords when I find them...

Let me know when you find J swords, I will make it worth your while if it turns out well. They are worth anywhere from $500 to $500k and the difference is hard to tell for a layperson.

As for WW2 stuff, I am just a pup in the woods. Do it mostly to make the local gun show more interesting. I am not locked into a specific type of pistol, but rather would like to get the iconic ones. So far I have a P-38, Colt 1911, Inglis BHP, Nambu T14, 2 Webleys, 2 Enfields, S&W Victory...I do not like super mint pistols but rather ones with honest wear on them.

Ihave a Luger for U, S42 with 1937 Chamber date, 97% Blue, 99% Straw. Its the rarer Rust Blue Strawed small parts version. It comes with the Holster dated 1941, a Hitler Youth RZM etched post 1938 Knife and Scabard and the US GI Bring Back Certificate dated Nov 1945 listing the Luger by serial # and the Knife. The Holster has the name of the US GI etched into the leather on the back. The Luger has a "K*" marking on the Sidepalte and the Hold Open Spring and Toggle Pin #s inside the gun don't match the rest of the Serial #s. Other than that all other numbers match. I believe it was the German who owned the Pistol during the war that had the parts replaced, possibly as a repair. The Pistol also comes with 2 WW2 magazines. My price is $2750.00, or make offer.

What makes this package unique is that both the Luger and Knife are accompanied by the GI Bring Back Certificate which authenicates it as a WW2 GI Bring Back.

Tabs,

Am like you, know nothing about the Japanese swords but would like to learn more. Course "Kill Bill 1&2" did not hurt in bringing back this interest.
