I'll buy the new one if it has GPS and an iChat app. DONE.
That's a nice notion, RB, but all those physical changes you want sure would add a lot of moving (breakable) parts. And it might just be the size of my laptop when you're done with it. |

3rd party SDK comes out in Feb. It can read word/excel/powerpoint and pdf already. Manipulate? Does anyone edit office docs on a handheld? I tried once or twice...miserable experience. As for exchange and blackberry support, that'll likely get sorted. |
Real dissappointed they didn't announce the Canadian (red-headed stepchild) launch. I heard sometime this year, but who knows. I don't care about the MS features, I just want a phone that always works, mail/text/WiFi work flawlessly. Tunes/Movies/Etc are just gravy for me, so this price is a little high for just the phone component but I saw a buddies, and I WANT ONE NOW!

just this morning i synched and it updated itself to the new os which is supposed to give you capability of sending an sms to multiple recipients. haven't figured out yet how it's done. anyone can help?
also, i don't know how to send a pic from phone to phone... |

To send an SMS to multiple recipients, goto the SMS/Text app, click the new text message button in the upper, right corner (square w/ a pencil in it) and hit the "+" button to add recipients; keep hitting "+" to add each new person . . . Best, Kurt |

I hope they unlock them after the 2 years of AT&T, otherwise I may end up hacking one. |

as for sending the pic though, how can i send an email pic to another phone instead of someone's email account? |

Vmail reminder, that's a pref not a feature, personnaly I hate it I hear mine ring with no issues, pick a ringtine that does. Not blend with ambient noise. I have kids, anything melodic gets lost around their tv shows, toys etc. You need something obnoxious |
Sometimes I think Apple could slap their logo on a turd and sell it for $700.

Newton and Mac Cube come to mind, among many others. Best, Kurt |
True, but I was thinking more in the last 3-4 years.

AFAIK, you can't send a picture to a phone number like a text message, but most phones have an email address that is often the phone number followed by the provider's domain like, 1115551234@tmobile.com. You gotta have that email address until Apple allows pics to be sent via SMS. FWIW. Best, Kurt |
