looks like a clean car, not personally interested, but interesting if true...ran the plate, built on 30-06-1985, imported to NL on 29-11-1993...

In all seriousness, why does the car have an SC front-end with a 1985 build date? The dash looks like an SC version, too. Don't Carrera dashes have a larger center vent?

Maybe this was a special-wishes product?

Dash, fog lights and chairs are SC. I think just the badge and the steeringwheel to make it look like a Carrera.

Was probably previously owned by Jody Foster.

IIRC - the actual ad says it's and 83.

For all seriousness - Carreras built in 84 had the "flush" fog lights. The small A/C vents were still around in 84 and 85. 85 got the in windshield radio antenna. 86 got the larger A/C vents.

The larger vent didn't come along until 1987.
Did she ever live in Europe??? I took my 83 cab out for a short drive this morning, great day for it:cool:

My friend's 86 has larger A/C vents. As far as he knows (or tells me) they are original.

Large vents started in '86. (I sold them at the dealer at the time). That steering wheel came in 1985 M.Y. The seats are from an '84 or older. That car is a mish-mash of parts.

A 1984 Carrera is identical to an SC other than the flush fog lights and badge on engine lid.

I had an 83 SC that came with a Carrera steering wheel FWIW
