25MB wireless downloads????
The other night I'm having a power dinner with one of my friends (beer and hot wings at Hooters) and he asked me if I had heard that a town in Tejas is installing wireless Internet to the whole town that is capable of 25MB downloads AND the whole town will have 2MB wireless for free (with the faster service for a fee).
My friend owns his own business and was a programmer for Northrup so he is not prone to rumors. I know a bunch of you guys are in the high tech field, have any of you heard of such a thing? |
IIRC, New Orleans installed something like that after Katrina. One of the few good things they did, I suppose. I wouldn't use it because of the ability of hackers to get your info.
