356 E-bay Scam
Check this out:
Item 230145324258 Check out the huge red letters asking to be contacted outside the system. And that price seems to be, oh, I don't know....a BIT low? |
The 356s have a soul.... unlike what passes for a Porsche today.

HardDive,
What could the scam be? Seriously! The price is too low! agreed! How could the average guy get scammed. If you allowed yourself to be B.S.'d someone else would do it too, buying any car. Call Him and see what he says.... |
It's likely the typical scam. You contact him, he gets you interested, and then at some point he gets you to part with money (either a deposit or payment in full), before you get the title and the car.
Once you've parted with the money, you're dust. |

I feel like I did my good deed for the day. I reported this auction this morning. Pretty quick response time from E-bay on this one.
For those that missed it, it was a pristine 62 356, for $9500. The guy had a huge banner insisting that you contatct him outside E-bay before bidding. |
