For those who followed the thread on my pool, thanks for the advice.

Congratulations !!!!

What was the final result of all the 'bad jobs'??

... but ... no in-flow cleaners!!!! BIG mistake! :)

10 days ago the contractor swore up and down everything was normal. The construction supervisor agreed. The General Manager was sent all of the pictures and a sanitized very of the thread.

3 days ago, the crew showed up and fixed everything. I took 1/2 a day off to watch and work with them, to get it right. It is just about perfect.

Congratulations ... did more or less the same thing ... happily ever after .. the end.

But .. no in-flow cleaners?? .....

We hit the "wall" on the price and went with a Polaris.

Good old 'Mike' to the rescue (inside joke, I had a colleague call Michael that he just keep going no matter what, just like the Polaris).

Have in-flows in my new pool, best use of money, now I maybe vacuum the pool twice a year!!! always clean!! simply amazing.

Looks nice, need to get by there and try it out!

Got the auto vacuum that does it all every night when I am asleep...

Today is the first full day of summer, and the pool opens today.

It's been a good week...

Where is the photo of the burned cow and margarita's by the pool?

red-beard 06-22-2007 03:31 AM

THAT will happen tonight. Pool finished filling at 10PM last night. Startup occurs in a few hours...I may be swimming at lunch time!

red-beard 06-22-2007 03:37 AM

Not to rain in your parade but after the pool is filled up for first time you should have it running for 3 days to a week before going in, let the filters and the chemicals do the magic.

Joeaksa 06-22-2007 02:35 PM

Enough Tequila and you can swim anytime ! :)

red-beard 06-22-2007 03:00 PM

Well, we're "restricted" at the moment.
