Are you flying to Greece? If not, it is a long train ride to Bari and then a real long ferry to Greece. Southern Italy is dirty and forgettable. (south of Rome, except Pompeii)

I always wondered why the Italians in Northern Italy seemed to thumb their noses at their sourthern brothers, until I went there that is. Sicily is nice though.
