Any Tampa Area Pelicanites?
I'll be in the Tampa area for a week, starting Monday (Tomorrow) June 25. I'll be in Spring Hill, which is an hour north. I thought if there were anything going on, (PCA autocross for instance) or if someone wanted to grab a drink and talk P-Car, that would be great. NAPLES is the site of the coller collection a porsche and other car collection not to be believed but hard to get in to as it is private and no public axcess but possable thru the local club or other means to see and very worth the trip and effort to get in

Sebring is roughly 1h30 south east of Tampa. Drive towards lakeland on I4, then cut south towards bartow/avon park/sebring... Cool track worth checking out since you can spectate for free. If you are a PCA member maybe you can ask and score a ride with an instructor or something, no guarantees though... a bunch of nice cars for sure, free entry if you're not driving...
The collier collection mentioned above is exceptional but by invitation only, thru a car club generally, and I don't think the usual suspects (PCA, BMW CCA, FOG) are having a meet there this week end... I'd love to be sociable, but we have a 2 month old baby and maybe 30 seconds of free time per week, so I'm out ;-) |

I got in thru atlas F-1 forum thanks to mr doug nye call them [if this number still works] and ask if there are any tours you can join this week be sure to tell them your a porsche fan and only in the area for a short time Collier Automotive Museum (2500 South Horseshoe Drive, Naples, Fla. 33942; 813-643-5252). |
