Internet radio to be silenced
http://www.savenetradio.org/
On Tuesday, June 26, thousands of U.S.-based webcasters plan to turn off the music and go silent in a unified effort to draw attention to an impending royalty rate increase that, if implemented, would lead to the virtual shutdown of this country's Internet radio industry. |
So they fight the shut down....by shutting down? Curious.

The internet radio industry should pay the same licensing fees as an over the air radio station. When will America realize that someone else's product cannot be pirated and capitalized on. Is it not called copyright infringement? The websites that provide the free music most likely have advertiser's that pay to have their ad's on the page. Pay the fees and keep playing music. We don't have to pay to listen to over the airwaves radio and these stations stay in business with a whole lot more costs associated with operations.

I spoke a little early. Definitely unfair for the internet stations. Sorry.

I am going to protest that more people aren't posting on this thread by not posting on this thread anymore...
