Rolex sports car series- Good stuff!
I dvr'd the Rolex race this past weekend and finally got a few hours to watch it last night. In the past i had felt that the Rolex series was maybe a bit too....NASCAR.....with the bumping and such, but i gotta say the race i watched was fantastic.
The RX8 was a blast to watch and of course the 911s were constantly in the mix giving me somebody to cheer for. I thought the commentators did a good job keeping it interesting as well. Good stuff!

One of the commentators for the series is Dorsey Schroeder. He does a good job with the series. Slightly off topic but he has a great barbecue bar/restaurant in Osage Beach, Missouri called Dorsey's Pit Stop. It's a mostly outdoor bar with a good atmosphere and good food. Dorsey is also a long time racer in series' like the Rolex Sports car series, Trans Am, and Speed GT.
This series is usually fun to watch as the racing is close and a lot of passing. Some will of course watch for the crashes. There are plenty of them. |

I also DVRed it and watched it late Sunday... good fighting between the Porsche, Pontiac, Mazda... the guy in the Mustang did a pretty good job throwing around that big pig at the end of the race too.

How cool was it watching that Mazda brake sooooo much later on the turns! He just slid right in while everybody else was hard on the stoppers.

I enjoyed it too. The best part was not having the Daytona Prototypes hogging all the attention.
