The MAYOR of Philadelphia, John Street, was in line at 3:30 am. We are the murder capital of the country and this is how he spends his time. Note that the phone doesn't go on sale until 6PM this evening. So he is taking the whole day off to sit outside and buy a phone. Is it a surprise the city is such a dump?

i wouldn't even bother w/ a detour. iWANT will still be there next year. and next... with service!

There was a bit in the paper, a local lady is getting paid $250 per phone to wait (has her kids there too) and getting a phone for each she buys:eek:

A couple of guys at the bar were laughing about until I pointed out that they (we) had been at the bar the same amount of time :D

Rumor has it the local Apple store in the mall is packed out. People with lawn chairs, portable DVD players, the works. Nutty.

Out for lunch, iPassed the iWait outside an AT&T store.

A couple of security guards dress like Men in Black. . . and 4 kewl guys w/ folding chairs. iDidn't see any iPotties.

I was laughing my a$$ off at the E-bay auctions last night. One lunatic had an iphone listed with a $5000 minimum bid! Shockingly, there were no takers.

Just saw an 8GB model sell for $699 on eBay with free FedEx overnight delivery, and no tax if you don't live in the seller's state.

Not bad, but my local Apple stores still have 'em, so still a better deal for me to pick one up here and pay the tax.
