First time a box labeled "Pelican Parts" showed up on my doorstep the wife looked at me like I was crazy. I told her it was pre-packaged cat treats.

She didn't find it amusing.

I am a relative late-comer, & I figured everyone else knew the origin of the name.

Well, we tried to come up with a good, unique name. Something along the lines of ********, or some other ones, I can't print here. It's a lot tougher coming up with a name than you would think. After spending about 10 hours just looking at ourselves in frustration, we took the cars up to Palos Verdes to take a photo shoot for the website. When we were done a Pelican flew over head, and we said "Pelican Parts". By that time we were too tired to consider whether it was a good name or not, but it did seem memorable, and that's what we were shooting for. Plus it fit in with the whole SoCal theme. And to boot, at least it wasn't as goofy as Tweeks!

My Porsche leaves black droppings not white.:D

Thought it was based on big bills and having web (feet) content. ;)
