What about Newt, he is in the background waiting just like Fred.
I always liked Newt, just a couple flaws. Maybe not as many as most of the others and he is well known.

Just a couple? Some of his behavior might upset true Christains unless they can compromise their principles. Not tossing grenades, just pointing out that he is human and like the other candidates, has baggage.

He draws about as much bile from the right that Hillary does from the left.

Bush opened the door to pre-emption. Give pre-emption to Pres Rudy and taking down the mafia will become foreplay to taking down terrorists. Even the NY Times doesn't jerk around w/Rudy.

the concept of newt winning either the nomination or the presidency is laughable.

Newt has more baggage than an airport. I love him, but he ain't gonna be president.
