I was talking to an ex-cop client of mine and he said that local cops only get 4% of the ticket contributed locally. The rest goes to the state. So it makes sense why state troopers go on ticket rampages because they keep 100% in house.

If I was a local cop I wouldn't waste my time. But then again I also would make 30k a yr.
