A little miracle
I have to share this; the last chapter in Kathryn's saga.
Tonight, I was invited to a pre 4th picnic and concert at a local church. The name of the church is St. Michaels and all the Angels episcopal Church, maybe three miles from our house. I did not know it was an Episcopal church since I was not familiar with it. But... Here is the little miracle.... Kathryn was episcopalian. Kathryn wanted to be cremated. She wanted her ashes to be placed somewhere in the desert. I saw a small area of a very nice place on the grounds where there were a few tiny markers. I was introduced to the pastor who explained that the area is for the internment of loved one's remains. Now we were originally going to go outside the City, find an area and scatter the ashes. But, some of her relatives wanted a place where they could visit (these people live in upstate New York and it is not likely they will ever come out, but what the heck). My son-in law works as a supervisor in a company that makes signs, large and small and can have a plaque made. And I can stop by once in a while and leave one red rose, the thing I gave her when I first met her. So, all the concerns of both the deceased and the family have been resolved. It makes me think that Nana is still working her little miracles. |

Bob,
That's great. I'm still praying for you and your family. Hang in there... |
We did both for my brother in-law. Part of the ashes are intered and the rest were spread off the ocean in San Diego.
Bob, you are the one who will know what to do. Your vigil by her honored her, and showed your love for her. |
How fitting. Thanks.

My Mother did the same and wanted to have her ashes spread in the Gulf around Padre Island. Everytime I fly overhead I think of her and hope that she is thinking of us as well.
Glad things are working out. |
I am glad you have found a bit of peace and serenity to help you through these sad days. I wish you well,
Dave |
Today will be better than yesterday but not quite as good as tomorrow. Human heart is an amazing thing, break it and it does not kill you. Good to have her close like that.

Thanks Bob, I'm so glad that you are perservering despite the loss of your beloved Kathryn...
