Man that ain't so bad.

When the totals on the doppler rainfall are so high the map is covered with purple and black instead of green, yellow and red you got trouble. Got 2 feet in 12 hours in Houston in 2001

Glad to see you are finally becoming reasonable about climate change Mr Brewer :P

The problem is that this crappy soil we have just doesn't allow for acceptance of all this wet. The run off is amazing. 1 inch of rain fall here must equal 12 inch rise in the lakes.

I can not remember this much rain this many consecutive days in all my years. It was the wettest June since 1928 when there was a mere 1/2 inch more. It has rained everyday this month so far. It's crazy. We are already a foot above our yearly average. You are close Mike, experts agree that 1/2 inch of rain equates to what would normally be 9 inches as far as runoff is concerned.

These are DFW airport #'s, many areas have had it much worse.

On the other-hand, it's not hot. Joe Pool has open ramps, and it's only 4 feet high. I went fishing the past two Saturdays as a matter of fact.

Mike,

Was looking at a couple of new builds up by the lake. Thought drainage looked funky 2 weeks ago.

Guess I'll know for real this week.

Me and the Mrs land Sunday night. Staying at the Westin next to DFW. Wife is flying out Wed eve. I'm in town till Fri eve.

You guys want to get together Tuesday night? Ed, Matt and all other locals are welcome.

Scott

Scott,
Sounds good. I have to be in Houston on Wednesday through Friday.

Scott,

Let me see if I can free up my schedule... Yep, can do!

On second thought, if you have a Mr. & Mrs. evening theme going, maybe I shouldn't introduce formal thoughts to the lady. It's nothing against you guys, but I'm still single and in no rush.

Let me know.

PS. Scott,
I have family/friends that build homes, I wouldn't buy anything that has been recently poured, framed, or roofed. If they poured in late April, the concrete still hasn't cured. Just a heads up.SmileWavy
