tires tubes....

my 95 nissan p/u front wheels will not hold air, we have concluded that the problem was rust along the bead, we've grinded them smooth, used gobs of bead sealer and they still won't hold air more than 24 hours.....
can i stick some tubes in there and be done with it?

may as well, won't do any harm, just make sure there is nothing on the inside of the rim that will puncture the tube.

Do what you want and long as you're financially responsible for any failure due to negligence which you just indicated. Replace the front wheels with good used units and forget the tubes.

My wife's Lexus had similar issues after its third set of tires. Am fortunate my tire guy is a friend within walking distance. All have been dismounted, wire wheeled and remounted at least once. The worst one now only loses two lbs/week.
I don't rember 'radial tubes', will have to ask him. Are they available for motorcycles?

Do they make tubes that big these days? I know my Dad's AH 3000 has tubes because of the wire wheels. Oh and I forgot so does my TR4.

i don't understand your comment.......what did i indicate? that my wheels won't hold air?.........and what negligence? what damage can happen? this is why i'm asking questions here bub. what's the worst that could happen.....tires are already flat......

i know you don't want to run retreads on the front wheels due to the flex they'll see.....but tubes shouldn't be a big deal.......it's a work truck i'm fixing a few things on to sell (yes the new owner will be told of all that is "wrong"...including the tubes if i go that route) but it's a cheap work truck......
