rental property management
I'm about to relocate for work, leaving two 2-family houses behind.
Both are currently rental properties, which I have managed myself with good success. Can anyone offer and insight into finding a property management company, the associated costs, the typical responsibilities, etc. If it matters, I'm in the Boston area. Vin |

I have rental property here that my Wife and myself manage ( my role is Schneiderman from "One Day At A Time"). We've looked into property managment companies which usually charge 10% of rental charges and take care of credit checks, evictions and maintanance. Of course all charges associated with these are the responsibility of the property owner.
In Calif. a lot of real estate offices have a property management division, you might want to check w/ realtors in your area. You'll see some profits go down, but at least you can write it off against your rental income.
