There's only one thing better than our cars and that's the dogs who share our lives with us.
In the past Smitty and I have corresponded about military dogs and how they were euthanized at the end of their military service in Veit Nam. It's good to see that our military has finally recognized that there is a special bond between dog and handler and allows adoption.
I have and Airedale (see avatar). Airedales were the security dog of choice for British forces until the Second World War.

glad to hear the policy toward retired K9's has changed. saw a show about the ones in Vietnam and the heartbreak the handlers suffered when they headed home and the dogs had to stay or were put down.
