Congrats, Mike. Patents sure do take a long time to be issued, don't they?
|
Royalties or just fame? :D
|
Mike,
Congratulations! You should be proud of yourself, that's quite an accomplishment! |
Congratulations, you live up to your name!
|
Congrats! Hope you get rich and buy lots of 911's!
Will you still talk to us then? :) |
No royalties and really not that much fame either. The product isn't that sexy but it does a great job, is novel and has helped out tons of folks.
Funny thing is, this product is one of our smallest in terms of sales volume but is responcible for our greatest sales increases. This fulfills one of the ten things I want to get accomplished before I die. |
Nice job, congrats. Did it really take 4 years from filing to being issued a number?

Cash - That maybe the way I die!
Jays72T - yes, it did take that long and I have been told that it will take even longer for new patents. Not really sure why but it is much more difficult to get patents issued now than say 5 or 10 years ago. Often, the Patent Office will have you re-issue which also costs the applicant. I think it is a money making attempt on their part. |
Congratulations! That's great! Must feel great to be part of something that's made a real difference.
What are the other 9? |
Thats a thread onto it self!
|
Hey, good idea!
|
Congrats!
|
Nice. Congrats Mike.

Needless to say, the Holloway clan has a few great ideas but zero execution when it comes down to the big money makers! |
So I invented the Intenet...Oh wait thats allready been invented by Al.
|
Very, VERY cool, Mike. Congrats.
|
Congrats Mike!
My dad is a patent attorney, and it sure seems like quite a bit of work just to get a patent. From all the research to see if noone has the same idea and pending approval to the sheer technology of your patent. Again congrats, you are one smart dude. |
Sweet. My cousin has a patent (something about sticky pads & gels for doing EEG work) , apparently you can get a coffee cup from the patent office that has the patent number, details, etc. on it...
|
Yep - actually got solicited for plaques, coffee cups and all sorts of memorabilia. Who wouldn't want a little something to brag about right? I figuer I will put it on the compaies dime. I think I will get a customary check for $10, a handshake and a few days worth of bragging rights.
|
Congrats Mike!
Have you got any letters from any Patent Movers yet ? I was swamped in it when my patent was issued. They all want a piece of the pie.. |
