Canvas would make for adequate side-impact protection in any collision with a butterfly.

Looks dangerous for real world applications but very cool for a show car.

It is a concept car from the mid 90's. They were all supposed to be destroyed, but this one managed to stay around. It is for sale, but the drivers door does not work and the glass needs to be replaced. It had a nice leak from the hydraulics in the ebay pics.
