Prediction for Vick

After thoroughly examining my crystal ball I predict that one M. Vick, AKA Ron Mexico, AKA Ookie and soon to be known as prisoner # 767529*** has played his last down in the NFL. Should he start a game, the crowd of protesters outside would be larger than the crowd inside. The NFl can't have pics of signs like "How many dogs did you kill today Mike?" flashed on the screen.

As we speak Mikey has his minions calling every "dream team" type lawyer available while he is on a call to Canada that goes something like this. Hey Rickey, it's Mike. So how are things up there in Canada?

There's no such thing as bad publicity. Just ask Kobe.

Vick's future job?

There was a Portland Trailblazer (NBA) in the same pickle some years back. I don't know the outcome, other than to know he's not a Trailblazer any more. So, yeah...I vote for Vick being done in the NFL....big difference between screwing around while married and animal cruelty...

I highly doubt he will see any jailtime, let alone get kicked out of the NFL. Sad but pretty much true.

If memory serves, I believe the charge against Kobe was rape. A $4 million diamond for his wife and some high dollar ambulance chasers landed him back on his feet in center court. Didn't hurt him a bit.

The NFL and the Falcons don't seem eager to respond with anything of substance at this point. When the protesters start picketing Home Depot (Blank was a founder), that will probably change.

Remember, a large percentage of MV's fans are thugs just like he is. I believe this makes him some kind of hero.

Vick will end up in the CFL while holding down a night job as a greeter in a casino somewhere.

I'll bet his old Jerseys become the hot item for the hip/hop gangsta crowd.

Interesting. I think the NFL commissioner can't overlook this one, nor the Federal authorities. Beyond what Kobe and O.J. have done, what sickens me in particular about this is the defenselessness of the animals. They lack voice and cannot avoid being put in the life killing situations Vick has subjected them to, which makes this doubly cruel.

I'm not going to get into valuing human life over an animal's life, but I will say that while Michael Vick has come up today during a session of Congress, and that his actions have been front page news this entire week, there should be no way that he gets off with a hand-slap and a wagged finger.

Just makes you wonder just where is Jessie and Al. You would think they would be on the news all day crying.

Al has spoken out on animal cruelty, there's a quote in the other Vick thread. He hasn't directly knocked Vick, but hasn't supported him either. I think they realize that they are playing with fire, and are going to wait this one out. Appearently there's a line even those two won't cross.

I have visions of his jersey with the name doctored, changing the V to an S

onewhippedpuppy 07-20-2007 12:23 PM

How about a PR instead?

Vick's rap partners, the ones that rolled over (like a dog) on him, Purnell Peace and Quanis Phillips, were sentenced to prison on Friday.

Peace received 18 months of jail time and Phillips was given 21 months by U.S. District Judge Henry E. Hudson. Peace's sentence was on the high end of his 12-to-18 month guideline range recommended by federal prosecutors, while Phillips' time was in the middle of his 18-24 month range.

My prediction? 3yrs for young Michael, with VA time tacked on the end of that.

I believe that given what he has already plead to, time in jail is a certainty, the only issue is how much time.

Porsche-O-Phile 11-30-2007 10:56 AM

He and O.J. will become butt-buddies in the slammer.

Rick Lee 11-30-2007 12:24 PM

He'd better pray for concurrent sentences. VA has no parole.

Sonic dB 11-30-2007 05:31 PM

does vick get conjugal visits?

Mule 12-10-2007 05:09 AM

The day has finally come. In an hour or 2 we'll know the fate of bad ass dog fighter / NFL qb Mike Vick. His rap partners got 18 & 21 mos respectively. My prediction, 27 to 36 mos for Ookie. Then it's on to Virginia.
