Greenpeace protests Porsche, who welcomes them
Just read about this. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but this is just an awesome reaction by Porsche.
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB118546789796479044.html?mod=googlenews_wsj Other banners detailed facts that inconveniently countered the Greenpeace rhetoric. One, entitled "Good To Know," included the following bullet points: * "Porsche's contribution to CO2 emissions in traffic less than 0.1 per cent. " * "Porsche has the lowest CO2 emissions per horsepower." * "Porsche will reduce CO2 emissions by more than 20 per cent by the year 2012." * "Porsche is introducing the hybrid engine: less than 9 litres fuel consumption on 100 km." BTW, Greenpeace is mad because Porsche is opposed to a flat European CO2 emissions limit applying to all cars from all manufacturers. Why wouldn't they oppose it? It clearly favors manufacturers who build tiny compact cars and isn't fair to car makers who don't - even if they are as environmentally friendly as they possibly could be. |

I saw this and think I will remove my cats now. Kudos to Porsche! I also sometimes write a check to the NRA when I see Rosie O'Donnel spout off about guns.
