L.A. lost an icon. I always liked his style, and he was the model for Kent Brockman on "The Simpsons" R.I.P.

Bummer. He embodied the words "quality broadcasting". As a former broadcast journalism student, I appreciated his excellence. RIP.

Sorry to see this. He was an icon around L.A.. He was also an avid pilot and owned a Beech Bonanza, that he kept at Santa Monica.

I remember Hal Fishman allways looking sideways and engaging in repartee with the Sports Caster Stu Nahan, who allways appeared to be drunk.
