Rally Transsyberia - Cayenne S in a rally?!

I've always thought if Porsche entered Dakar Rally with Cayennes, not only would it boost the marque image but also show that the pepperwagons CAN be used for racing (despite being non-2-door, non-sportcar and not-a-real-Porsche :rolleyes:) therefore they are not deviating from their racing heritage too far. Heck, they did a 1-2-3 finish in Dakar with 959s, didn't they?

I would think if you put the right setup on a Cayenne it would dominate on an endurance rally like Baja or Paris/Dakar

I was wondering the same thing....


I think I saw somewhere that VW is racing their version of the pepper wagon so maybe there is a conflict?
