Car sick on the Dragon...Uggghhh

I can't believe I did this. I have felt bad in the car if I try to read while riding but this was not the case.
I was driving on the Tail of the Dragon recently and I made myself car sick. I was ripping it up pretty well but nothing I haven't done in the past. Had to pull over and, um, clear things. I felt bad for the rest of the day.
Maybe I am getting old and out of practice.

Has anyone else done this? .

I had an onset of vertigo once on Nine Mile Road outside China Lake, but I have never gotten sick. You may want to have your ears checked, no kidding...

I will admit that I feel a little "uneasy" at times. My wife on the other hand required 3 stops on the way up to the tail. Then she did the dramamine thing and just hung on for the actual run. Seems the directional and elevation changes can be enough to throw you out of whack. Not sure I would be a good passenger actually.

Every person I have had ride with me on the dragon has puked. I want to make little puke stickers and plaster them on the side of my car like the old World War II fighter planes use to do when they shot down enemy planes. I am 2 puke stickers away from being an ACE

Correction... the one guy who didn't puke ended up ripping my passenger side door rest off of the door (ouch!!!)

I had a weird experience yesterday. All of a sudden I became fearful that I might drive off of a high rise overpass. I have no idea why. I'm usually one to pass on the outside of those who creep up and down them. To top it all off, traffic stopped just beyond the pinnacle, and I was damned near panicking because I wanted off that thing so bad. This morning cruising home, I had no such adventure. Back to normal I guess.

Last Nov. when we ran the Dragon, Beth (wife unit) got sick. She never chunked but she was sick for the rest of the day.
She is the type of person that can read on a roller coaster, so it was very odd.

I couldn't believe I had made myself sick driving. I have a rock solid stomach normally. Been sailing for years and been in some pretty rough seas and only felt "odd" once off the coast of Charleston in large, confused seas. I guess it had something to do with the repeated switchbacks with no view of the horizon. I did have a few cups of coffee with fried eggs and bacon at that biker place; perhaps that was a contributing factor.
Hope it doesn't happen again as I enjoy that drive and it is only an hour or so from the house.

Who knows? I once crewed on a boat, out of sight of land for several days. But that was on the "Spanish lake". Never got sick, but the up and down corkscrew motion became tiring. I have an idea...come out here, and I'll direct you to the twistiest paved road in Oregon. So twisty that trucks with trailers are banned, simply because it's physically impossible for them to negotiate the turns at any speed. You should come in mid July through mid August though. You may find the road blocked with snow, entry gates blocked at any other time.

On the other hand, for the sake of Oregonians who know? Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned this road. Jack would enter, never leave...
