i have to sign in every time now. what changed?
even my home computer, which pelican recognized previously does the same thing. am i alone with this?
|
No, you are not alone. I think it's a new feature that was added to help Legion get an accurate count of those who are actually online weeding out those who just leave the browser open. IIRC, it signs you out after some period of idle time.

No, I had to sign in one time after the new server was set up. Do you have your browser set to accept cookies for Pelican?

IE 7 on Windows XP Home Edition. Our connection is cable with a fixed IP address, if that makes any difference. If it would help to run down the problem, I can switch to Verizon Wireless on this computer and see if I'm still logged in? |

I tried the chocolate chip ones, but I'm a little worried that they weren't actually chocolate chips... |
Check the "Remember me?" box
|
No, it doesn't remember on all 4 of the systems that I use. (One Mac, 1 Vista, 2 XP). Also, with different browsers (Opera, Firefox, IE). Even when I type in the link manually (no bookmarks).
All cookies were deleted. Is this still happening to others? |
I've just noticed that I must "logon" on for every browser instance that I open up (same pc). For example, I opened up a new browser window to pull up this thread, and I can see that I'm logged on, but not at the top of the list (whereas, on the old version, I never "saw" myself listed at all). After logging on (again, in order to post a reply), when I go back, I am now first in the list. I'm not sure if this means anything, but just wanted to point it out.
