				1990 C2 Cab, what's a smokin' deal?

I have a buddy that's looking at a repo auction 1990 C2 Cab with 49k miles (six speed). I checked it over and it looks good but need a valve adjust and a few other items but is clean straight and runs well. But being an auction car you never know. So.....what are the values on these things right now? What are smokin' deal numbers? $10k? $12k?

				Thanks.

Thanks, what would a fair private party price be? I would imagine 19-21k? Much higher than that and 993's come into play yes?

for a 1990 or 1991 - I would pay 16-19 The 1990 and 1991 had some sealing problems cylinder to head - not the most desireable of the 964 engines. Probably the engine and tranny is worth 10K - I had a 1990 C2 - they drive well and are very fast.

$10K is a relatively safe deal for an unknown condition '90. That way if it has the problems that many of the '90s had, and you have to spend $10K to fix them, you aren't too far underwater.

Anything over that, and you need to have a thorough PPI from a competent shop to see if the car's a good deal or not. |

It definitely had a six speed, I guess it must have been a retrofit??? Anyway, it went for $14,550 and no my buddy didn't bid that high.
