Going on a Disney Cruise Next week!
I'm jazzed, the wifey and I are doing our 24th anniversary on the Disney Magic for a four day cruise. Haven't been on one before, but I'm looking forward to it. Stopping at Nassau and Castaway Cay (Disney private island). I work for the mouse and got a very nice discount, and a coleague who works for the cruise line got me a complimentary upgrade to a stateroom with a veranda. Not bringing the puter, so see you in a week. I leave Saturday morning. Any suggestions of what to do in Nassau/on the cruise?

If your boat is like the last couple I've been on you'll love the balcony. Nobody can see you from above, below, or the sides. Your own little world with great sunrise and sunset views. And the breakfast buffets are good.

If you never have been to Nassau go once, its an armpit and a hellhole. Be careful too do not wander off the main drive (its obvious) 2 blocks back are some really bad neighborhoods.
Rum is super cheap and you can pick up a Cuban Cigar and smoke it while walking around. If I were you I would take the Atlantis Tour and skip Nassau altogether. There is a really nice little cafe around the bend along Bay street. (forget Name but its 2 story and has good conch fritters) Bay street being the South red line in this picture you want to stay along there and North towards the water. The straw market is hotter than hell and really not worth it unless you want to be hassled by snotty fat black woman. Up to you. I hate it and avoid it, I go over to Senior Frogs and drink beers while the wife farts around in there. ![]()

Thanks for the tips Jim! I was told that going to the Atlantis and the Aquarium are safe bets. I won't be taking my laptop. For internet connections, international telephone calling rates apply. I don't think so.

We took that cruise last year. You will love it - Disney does an awesome job with taking care of the kids and keeping them busy. The only real thing different is you wount find a casino but plenty of 'no kids' bars and a pool so you can get away from the kids if you want. I enjoyed it - again - Disney does a nice job, thats why the Disney cruizes cost so dang much!!!
Heres a pic of Castaway Cay ![]()
