Les Schwab generally trustworthy?

I need front tires and someone to look at the brakes on my beat up old truck. Would you trust a Les Schwab? Our other cars are dealer serviced, so I have not been to a third party mechanic other than John Walker in years. Last I checked, he doesn't do 1993 F-150s.

I'm in Seattle.

I've used the Les Schwab off 164th and the Bothell Everett Highway for a couple pairs of shoes. I wasn't at all displeased with them or their service.

I purchased a set of new Toyo Proxes FZ4s for the 968 a couple years ago, and a new set of Michelins for the wife's car last year. They had to order the Michelins, but they had them in two days as promised. There was no wait when I showed up for my appointment as scheduled. All in all I have been pretty satisfied. They even used the right weights to balance the P-Car's new shoes.

I haven't taken them to have any mechanical work done, so I can't speak to that part of the business.

I trust Schwabs, but expect them to try and sell you a whole new caliper unit, as I don't think they do pad slaps...
