The 11th hour: will you see it?

Saw the trailer for this last night. If you put aside the global warming side of the equation and focus instead on the human footprint issue (pollution, food, clean water), is it time for serious change?

btw, Sicko was actually a decent film. Yes, MM is bombastic and over the top, but it pointed out some interesting stereotypes that we have about other countries. Of course he neglected to mention how much they pay in taxes, etc, but still something to ponder.

If MM says heath care should be free, why should you have to pay to see his movie?

Thats the best you could come up with?

Telling.

I agree. We're about due for a mass kill-off of human population. Reduce it to about 1/5 its current size and we'd be about right.

Massive Deflation as a Result

But then Property Values would FALL..especially in CA.....we don't want that do we....

I was watching a documentary on Lawrence Ferlinghetti (yeah, I know I am strange) and he had an interesting comment about what he does when he is approached for charity work. He tells whoever it is that they should be directing all their efforts toward population control because so much of what is wrong with the world is directly related to that.

The scary part is that we (the human race) are most likely to go out with a whimper rather than a bang. We are slowly poisoning ourselves to death voluntarily and involuntarily. I was reading about China's pollution problem and they quoted how many people die a year from air pollution... then they compared it to how many people die a year in America from air pollution... and I am WTF thousands of people are dieing every year IN AMERICA from air pollution?

Nothing short of human extinction would save this planet.

I say we do away with all mammals... let the insects run the place... look at how organized and well behaved they all are!

Dirty stinking mammals...

Like a razor you are, cut right to it. You I would like to meet.

I have said for years that overpopulation will be the thing. Not global warming, new ice age, asteroid strike, thermonuclear war, but overpopulation.

Worst part of it is, the stupid people are the ones breeding the fastest.

sammyg2 08-04-2007 03:01 PM

No, I will not see it under any circumstances.
The last thing I want ot do is to encourage him. He's done enough damage already. Overpopulation? His ego takes up more room than all the other people on this planet.

WOW What a brilliant statement... if your a retard that is. Exactly where is the Planet going to go if Man fks it up...Some how I think it will keep going around the Star we call the Sun. That is until the Sun goes Super Nova. Of course Man might do himself in and might not be around to see it happen. Thats a good possibility.

Is it really just dawning on U Boyz that overpopulation is the major problem facing man...if thats true U Boyz are REALLY slow to catch on. At a Town Hall meeeting with my Congressman back in 1992 I brought that up, and the Congressman agreed with me. Clean water is going to be a MAJOR issue as the population increases.

We can allready see Nature fighting back with a host of new viruses that perplex mans intellect to combat them...AIDS, EBOLA and something just lurking around the corner waiting to raise its head and wipe a swath of death through the human population.

azasadny 08-05-2007 03:30 AM

Nope, I will not waste my time with this movie...

Moneyguy1 08-05-2007 06:24 AM

The human race should take a lesson from the Lemmings.....

sammyg2 08-05-2007 07:38 AM

Yes, Leonardo.

Just one more who thinks too much of himself and will gladly profit from trying to scare people with falsehoods and exaggerations.

GO DAWG GO 08-05-2007 04:45 PM

Sammy,

You know what all this exaggerated bullsh-t is? Massive attempt to turn the our country and the world over to UN control. The big globalist picture and socialism for everybody. We should all be equally poor!

Did you hear the "sustainable" variable in the big equation. Only the UN knows the real issues. The only pictures I saw of devastation in that deceitful film was where the UN have too much control. Oh I forgot.. except where the white people blew up the levies in New Orleans. The same people who said those idiotic accusations are of the same ilk who created this insipid, self loathing, moronic film.

Michael Moore please shoot yourself first...Please! Leonardo second!
