A couple of ??s for any Optometrists out there
I'm currently have a BSCE that took me only 3 yrs to get. My GPA (2.7+)suffered a little bit because I did it so fast and worked at an Engineering firm through college. I do road design and recently been doing software support for other Engineers. Now I never get out. I just can't get used to sitting in a cube every day anymore. I need more people interaction than this and it's like a library in there. I've always had an interest in Optometry so I'm going back to school to take more chemistry and biology. Classes start the 23rd. However, I'm not a youngster (35) so it's been a while since I've seen some of the general classes. But I still think I'll do fine.
Do you think they'll put more emphasis on the OAT or my military time, BSCE and being older? Is that OAT book and seminar class worth it? They only take 36 students so do you have any tips that might help me get accepted? All I read on line is all the great stuff about Optometry, but what are some negatives? I'd like to hear about those too. Any advice for me???? Thanks in advance! ![]()
