What a self-serving idiot.

Granted, he has a problem. His mine collapsed on 6 men.

I am really sick at the thought that the families of the trapped men have to listen to him talk about how all of this is an act of God, and not his fault.

The 'seismic event' he keeps blaming all of this on was the seismometers registering the cave-in. The experts and regulators involved in this business all keep saying this event happened because of the type of mining being conducted in this mine.

He is giving more excuses as we speak. What a joke.

Couldn't agree more, he is positioning for the insurance claims that will no doubt come in civil court. His mind is definitely focused on money rather than the survival of his employees.

A real POS.

A coworker and I were watching him rant on CNN at lunch yesterday. The guy loves to talk. Probably hoping to get on the next Bachelor.

The only classy response to any questions would be:

"There are 6 men trapped inside our mines right now. My only focus, EVERYBODY'S only focus, should be on getting them out alive and well. Your prayers are appreciated by their families and friends. Thank you."

What is so hard about that?

What he REALLY needs is a good attorney, a case of laryngitis and a good P.R. man.

Its only a matter of time before he says something liabless.

Tough call. My initial gut reaction was that he's a self-promoting camera hog.

But after reading a few articles and seeing some of the newsclips, you have to give him some kudos for flying in, dealing directly with the families and being front & center of the whole situation.

It's be a lot easier to stay home, unplug the phones and hire a slick PR specialist.

He may be a nut, he may be wrong-headed, but at least he's not a coward.
