I actually helped someone ELSE'S car
Wow- never thought the day would come!
A guy in my office has a POS Sunfire that dies on a semi-weekly basis. Saw him today trying to get a jumpstart from someone. The solonoid thingy (the thing that clicks) was clicking away just fine. Also, even when the jumper cables were removed, there was still power to the lights and whatnot, so his dead battery theory seemed wrong. I suggested the starter might be dead, and because it was a stick, figured that push-starting it would be a good test of my theory. Push, roll, turn key, pop clutch, vrooom! I was a hero.
Its my first accomplishment in about 3 months. I can sleep well tonight!
