2nd poll......how many firearms do you own

here's the second poll, currently right now we have about a 75% ratio for gun owners here. (from this thread http://forums.pelicanparts.com/off-topic-discussions/361565-firearm-poll.html )

the 3rd and final poll will break down our firearms into pistol/long barrels/and on the back of the truck :D

i understand some of you will not want to publicly say how many you have, which is why the poll is anonymous......

Does a six-barrel Gatling gun count as one gun or six?

azasadny 08-12-2007 05:52 PM

Beretta 92FS, Sig P239, Remington 1187, Browning bolt-action .243 WSSM Hunter II, Ruger 22L rifle

I'm the one who clicked 41+...but you gotta understand...many of them, like Tabby's antiques, I wouldn't shoot. I'm talking GREAT Grandpa's percussion cap stuff, Grandpa's black powder stuff, Dad's WW1 and WW2 stuff, including a "sporterized" (in the 1940's) Springfield, etc. Seems our clan never gets rid of guns, we just add more...

It was kind of fun when a couple we knew living in Brit-Land asked the "how many" question...and I just started placing them on the living room carpet....

I'm not even sure myself. I'll have to count them someday, or try to at least run through them in my mind. "41+"??? How about a catagory for 41x?

wow from the poll i guess i am EXCESSIVE! funny how you buy one and the next thing ya know your buying multiple gun safes, gun cases, dies, cleaning kits, clips , mags, bipods, slings, scopes, scope covers, ammo, etc. its a wicked cycle.

glad i got all that behind me when i was younger.

now i can focus on der p-car and not sweat the "come-ups " for different guns, different loads, different scopes etc.

its kinda like "plug and play" now. shot the damn things so much its second nature.

my bimmer buddy and his kid and my younger son all got drawn for any antlered deer in unit 27, az. hannagan meadow/alpine all the way thru the blue primative area. blue was where last grizzly bear was taken in the '20's. wolf recovery program ongoing as i write. always cool to hear them howling. to see one even better.

both boys are lousy shots only thru lack of practice. sooooooooo....a coupla full days at the range should bring there apptitude scores up and maybe they can bean their very own deer this year.

we got drawn for november hunt and with any luck we should have some snow on the ground to make the entire experience a winter wonderland. instead of hunting in shorts!!!!!

any antlered deer tag makes it easy on kids because to them a deer is a deer. and typical buck fever occurs. this way they dont bean a white tail w/a mule deer tag. or vs. versa. always difficult explaining that one to game ranger.

always fun and big giggles when we ask them what kind of deer it is, we have spotted and they pick the opposite species. some day they will figure it out.

Sadly only 1, Springfield Mil-Spec 1911. More to come I'm sure, there's many I would like to have.
