Spin your bird?

Not the finger or even a pelican, but a chicken fryer. welcome to the 2nd in my series of threads i am terming "what i am having for dinner". Some may recall the fervor my loins caused some weeks back. Some were hungry, some posted their dinner, and others simply admired the meat.

tonites sampling is a taste of americana that george foreman pioneered that could be referred to as cheap electric cookware preparation. this bird will be spun for about two hours and and draped in cheap dried spices. My favorite being trader joe's "21 spice salute".

Much like the loin of my last episode this lonely man meal is really two, maybe three meals in one. It might be chicken burritos wednesday, chicken salad thursday, and fer sure a finger lickin' good chicken out of the heated pen

feast your eyes on this, the spice bath pre spin.

here the fowl heads for a superheated end strictly for my enjoyment.

Our propane BBQ has a rotisserie...looks to me like doing the same thing, only vertical instead of horizontal. The juice drips out either way, right?

Awaiting the 110 minutes, plus eating time, review...:)

doc how have you been? should be at thunder hill 9/21 if you can make it out. if i was to locate a wife she would not have to do her cooking in the kitchen....

drains all the same paul. neat & tidy into a little catch tray that i throw out. used to mix it with the hounds food but he dont like it much. must be about a california dog...

back to the bird, it will be hitting the fridge in tupperware until tomorrow when i will rewarm for dinner after work. maybe some greens, a salad fer sure, some french bread, and a splash of A-1. Living like a king boys....

Once again I fall victim to the English/American language difference and this thread isn't what I thought it would be about!
However I guess the leg or breast question is still relevant.

Looks great Toby. Like some others, I have the horizontal spit on my grille. Love the way it turns out....try a nice pork roast sometime...outta sight.

I'll see what I can do about getting up to TH on the 21st. I was there to see Moses' wheels a while back and he....what a guy!...let me drive his 3.6 Targa. My woody is just beginning to subside :D

Hmmmm...may be a good way to enjoy BBQ style chicken when it's a nasty winter storm out there. I notice it's made by Oster...thanks for the review...
