I remember laughing so hard at John Belushi doing that skit.

Let's face it...SNL ain't what it used to be. But then, what is????

I remember that skit. I think my bride and I had a little "something" beforehand, and we laughed all night. But, that was 30 years ago. I loved that show, lots of talent.

SNL today? "Ah hell, honey...let's go to bed...

Much as I have loved a lot of the SNL stuff done over the years, I miss the original cast and the freshness of what they were doing those first years.

Truly classic television. RIP John Belushi AND Gilda Radner...you both had more to do. Too, too bad.

I liked the James Brown celebrity hot tub party.

Too bad the writers for the past 20 years think that comedy is just having a sketch where they repeat the same mildly funny line over and over.

...so you wanta' end up livin' in a VAN....down by the RIVER!!!???

I lived in Germany when SNL first went on the air. Back then the Armed Forces Network (AFN) used to air these stupid re-enlistment commercials. Amazingly enough the actors in the commercials were the original SNL comedians: Belushi, Akroyd, Radner, Morris. . .

And don't forget "Nookin' Pa Nub"...

I can tell one thing for sure. As a hobby musician - I have tried to figure out the intro to that particular song all my life. Both on guitar and piano. Have never found the exact notes. It is beyond competition the most exhilarating intro I have ever heard. Absolutely brilliant.
