I'm certainly not a Yamaha historian, but I think the biggest dual purpose bike they made in the 80-early 90's was a 600 or 650cc. Got a pic?

Yeah...that's the one I was thinking of. To my knowledge 600 (maybe 650?)was as big as they came. Its a single cylinder IIRC...for it to be 1000cc the damn piston would be about the diameter of a saucer
 They're somewhat heavy but have the torque of a tractor. Did you buy it? |

no, he never called. i am letting him think for a few days, to get used to the idea of parting with a toy he no longer needs. he probably doesn't relish the fact that his wife wants it gone just because it has been sitting 9 years, needs to be HIS idea...will call him this week tho....
