Best way to pay when ordering off an unfamiliar website?
 

I am looking for some video game accessories that I can't seem to locate and are out of stock almost everywhere except at a site that I have never heard of. The reviews for the site are, at best, mixed, but I am willing to take a chance since there are unavailable anywhere else but used on eBay. My fear is that they are also out of stock (since everywhere is) and after purchasing, they will give me the dreaded backorder or worse, not even give me and specific date. They take all credit cards and PayPal. What would you use that you could cancel if you didn't like the way it was going? Amex? Discover? I have all the major cards, I'm looking for the one that gives me the easiest outs if this site in not what it advertises.

Amex works best for me...

Thats what I'm thinking.

Either credit card. I always use my Discover for online purchases because they have automatic fraud protection. Good way to cover your a$s.

You can also generate a new account number that is good for only one purchase.

Based upon emails, a "Cashiers check" for $5000 over the amount and they refund you the difference would appear to be the best way :)
