I would love to hear some feedback from the "Rove is Satan" crowd on his interview coming up at 1:00. I obviously don't know what he's going to say, but I'd be interested to hear your responses.

I need details my man.

He is the one that will beat Romney in 2008. You will get to know him then, I promise.

No, I mean what exactly drove you over the edge? The interview was pretty benign if you ask me.

Also, neither Romney nor Richardson will be the nominees.

Rove telling us all how smart bush is and how much he respects bush made me feel sick. Rush slobbering all over the radio made it vial.

1. No one running has the credentials of Bill Richardson, not even Romney.

2. No one running has the charisma of Romney, not even Obama.

3. Just wait and see.

While I agree with this analysis, I think there are a few more factors:

4. No one has the support of Hollywood like Obama and Hillary.

5. No one has the hero/martyr thing down like Guiliani.

6. No Republican has the support of the left like McCain.

7. No one has the support of young conservatives like Thompson.

While I think Richardson is certainly the most qualified candidate from either party, I also think he lacks the support from the looney left to get out of the primaries (though he is much more palatable to moderates--heck, I'd even consider voting for the guy depending on who the Republican nominee is). Only Obama and Hillary have that, and I give Hillary 70% odds of being the Dem nominee.

The Republican side is wide open IMO.

Obama has been making Hillary look good lately.

The conservative radio talk shows have played the latest Hillary radio spot four times in the last hour. She sounds like Edwards in message and tone including pauses...........he is not even her shadow now. Like the "blob" she just consumed him.

I'm a lib, but the sound of Hillary's voice grates like fingernails against the chalkboard of my soul.

Hillary has a 99% chance of winning the nomination, and a 1% chance of winning the presidency.

Len, the Repubs are in Serious trouble in the trenches. Here's how I know.

My Mom and Stepdad live in Calif. Mom has been an avid Rush and Fox News fan for many years, consequently Bush could do no wrong in their eyes. We had a heated discussion about in a few years ago so I resolved not to discuss politics with them again, in order to keep the visits pleasant.

This past weekend, out to dinner with them, out of the blue, my Stepdad announces they are renouncing the Republican Party and will register as independents this time around. He asked my party affiliation and I told him Independent as well. We then talked a little about Ron Paul because I voted for him in Texas as a libertarian candidate in about 88 or 90 I think. Then I let it die to keep the peace.

But it would appear that the Republicans have very little base left.

Of course the Republican party is in serious trouble. The war is pissing off the middle and the left, the spending is pissing off the right and the middle. On the upshot we're running out of people to piss off.

Thank goodness the Dems are going to run Hillary though, she just may be the shot in the arm we need. The cash will pour in and volunteers will fill the streets.
