Thankfully it's nothing like what the folks in Peru experienced.

Earthquake weather, fish swimming sideways, dogs yodeling...

Bah!

Unless it's a 10.2, no worries.

According to "The Theory of Mu" California will be watching sunrises off the East Coast an wondering where the land to The West came from. The rest of us will be learning to swim. Of course, it is just a theory...

This earthquake was centered exactly where the one last week was. It's not Northridge, but a bit north of Chatsworth, in the hills.

Kevin,

We are due for another big one..Thing is, I want to wager any Angelino that the bridges at the 5 /14 freeways stay up this time? I bet if we get another 6+ on the Richter...I say they fall and smash another El Camino...remember that in 71?

I was a kid and scared the beegeebees out of me.. the 94 quake was worse but we were seasoned by then

Thank they will stay up?

That interchange is named for the CHP officer who drove off the edge into the the abyss..

Bad day?

Bob

I just want to comment on what "dd74" said.
I was in a 7.6 earthquake when I was young. I had a cat at the time. One day the cat disappeared - not to be found. I remember noticing horses neighing & rearing up in their pens as if they wanted to get out and asking my mother why so many were doing that. Anyway, we had it at 5:20 in the morning a day or two later, and it really tore up the little town we lived in. By 9:00 that morning, the cat came strolling back to the house. I guess the horses had quit acting up, but I didn't notice since it was years later that somebody commented about animals having a sense about that.

My dog slept through today's quake. He's a seasoned native.

I think about them often.
