The Rain

I rained for over 24 hours yesterday, about a 11" in Winona MN. Floods killed 7 people and there are more missing, houses were swept away. More rain to come. It is not pretty. The 911 flooded, not to bad, drying it out today.

They're talking about evacuating Houston, MN.
Did you see all the local roads that are closed? I don't remember conditions ever being this bad before.

And here we sit with all of our forests on fire and no rain in months.

We've had some rain here too with more on the way. Good luck all. Mother Nature got bored and decided to play with us.

It's rained steadil;y since 7:00pm last night, but more like a light drizzle, no flooding here. The grass, bushes and trees seem to like it.

Could there be changes in weather patterns occurring?

Is this even possible?

It has been very dry here for the entire summer, below average rain, now it is coming down in buckets. We have been hit again today with more storms and it looks like we will get more flooding. This is the wettest I have ever seen it, trains are derailing, roads are crumbling, the Mississippi River is getting very high. I hope it ends soon.

at least it isn't chocolate rain

Surely that's impossible?

It's been raing here in Southeast MI since 7:00pm on Saturday. It's drizzle and is very steady, so the storm sewers can keep up with it. No floods, huge puddles, and the lawns and greenery is very happy. We've had a very dry summer this year.

We had a great rain on Sat night, first time in a month. Saved me money watering, but more importantly knocked the 100+ degree temps we've had down to upper 80s. Obviously our neighbors to the north and south are not so lucky.
