We seem to be asked to give out our SS# more and more. Does anyone ever give out the wrong number just to be on the safe side?

Aha! I'm sure it's the same as yours and everyone else's.

My question is a frivolous one intended to find out how it would be perceived - kinda relating to the vagaries of English, kinda like the old (this has to be in caps and unpunctuated when written - it's intended to be spoken) "HOW LONG IS A CHINAMAN"

Language fascinates me (when I understand it) :)

(I'm a newbie to Off Topic - is this sort of drivel too far off (or childish))?

Ha! You should ask that question down the road from here at a VERY well known semi-trailer manufacturer.... Half the laborers would give you the same number!!

It has become a defacto serial number. Might as well tatoo it on your ass at this point.
