Need some MINI help.
 

The MINI tech board is a ghost town. Anyone here put HID's in their MINI? My fiance wants them in hers. When I was looking the car over today, I noticed the light assemblies are part of the trunk lid. So where does one mount the ballasts? Do they get too hot being on the underside of the hood?

Mine came with HID's - I assume the ballasts are mounted to those huge things...

Yeah, I found some good photos online. The ballasts get mounted to the headlight assemblies.

Rick, my wife's 2006 Mini has the HID's if you need some close up pics just let me know.

I added driving/spot lights to our MCS and it made a huge difference- looks great as well. The factory kit is very expensive, but Hella sells a kit for a lot less.

+1 for the aforementioned Mini forums.
