No, but the guy in the police video posted a few days ago must have. In case you missed it...

There, I wiggled myself out of that potentially neurosis revealing trick question. :p

no, there is water in it, either that or the glass is thicker below the ring.

It looks a bit more than half full, but I am an incurable optimist

I suppose unless the glass and surroundings are in a vacuum, it's absolutely full

Half empty mathematically is 1/2 * 0 = 0
Half full mathematically is 1/2 * 1 = 1/2

Kang's answer is close to my take on the question.

Half full = 0 + 1/2
Half empty = 1 - 1/2

So, without knowing the history of this glass we cannot answer the question.

Kang...You got some fuzzy math.....

The real question is: full of what? Thats reasonable!

GO DAWG GO 08-29-2007 09:09 AM

Nosmo,

Please reiterate? Where and what part of physics did I miss that one! The water would boil out.

Fuzzy math? :) Take a glass that’s empty, take half of it, and you have a glass that’s half empty. Take a glass that’s full, take half of it, and you have a glass that’s half full.

I see a glass that has more of an opportunity to be better than it is right now.SmileWavy

The bigger question is was the glass empty and global warming caused it to flood or was the glass full and global warming caused it to evaporate?

vash 08-29-2007 09:25 AM

it's half full! but what is in it, taste like schit.

futuresoptions 08-29-2007 09:52 AM

Would have to take into account the temperature/volume levels before I could answer correctly......http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo.../coffeecup.gif

nosmo_king 08-29-2007 09:57 AM

Uh oh... my ignorance must be showing, Robert. Guess I didn't pay enough attention in physics?

In any event, I suppose it contains particles (water/air, presumably) and must not be in a vacuum, so I vote "full"

But to quote a famous physician,
"Damn it Jim, I'm a doctor not a scientist!"

:)

Wickd89 08-29-2007 10:06 AM

who stole the first 1/2 of the glass of water?
We need to hunt them down and shoot them... ;-)

scottmandue 08-29-2007 10:06 AM

Who said there is water in the glass?

It could be any transparent liquid... for example Vodka.

sammyg2 08-29-2007 10:22 AM

I can't believe you can find humor at a time like this. It useed to be completely full but the dems spent so much money they had to raise taxes and they took half the water and gave it to people who are too lazy to go to the well. When will it end? ;)

Icemaster 08-29-2007 11:48 AM

It used to be empty, then I had to pee......

djmcmath 08-29-2007 01:30 PM

Bush hates half empty glasses.

cmccuist 08-29-2007 01:35 PM

If the glass is half empty, then the terrorists win.

Seahawk 08-29-2007 01:54 PM

Photoshop, clearly.
