Going to the CA Speedway tomorrow am I nuts?

I have the same great seats since the track opened.
Tomorrows going to be really hot, but myself and 3 buddies tailgate, drink beer ect. My wife made alot of sense when she said "our men and women are fighting in Iraq in much worse conditions" Dont be a woosy.

I was going to recommend taking the train to avoid the crazy traffic but I see you are tailgating. Are you taking a motorhome? I imagine the tailgating would have to go on for several hours before and after to let the crowds die down.
I went last year and almost froze my a$$ off!
For me it was a one time deal, dad gave me the tickets for free... for the first hour or so it was quite a spectacle... but somewhere around lap 250 it got kind of old... even my friend who went with me and is a die hard NASCAR fan said it was too much.
I'm not a NASCAR fan but I think if you are a motor sports fan it is something you should see at least once in your life... they make a wonderful sound and sure are darn fast!

I always leave w 20 laps to and listen on the radio, no traffic at all.

Did you see Sammy Hagar last year? Like dumba$$es my friend and I were sucking up beers in the courtesy zone when we heard him on the P.A. and thought "cool they're playing Sammy"... then we found out he was out there live.

I have been to the last couple of races but its just so damned hot with 120,000 others. Enjoy. At least the tailgating will help. Next time I go to a race it will be a motorhome weekend or something similiar.

I should add that I wasn't very happy with the bleachers... I had several super sized NASCAR fans in my row that made things a little too cozy for me if you know what I mean. Can't imagine what it will be like in this heat.

Lucky for me I handed picked my seats when the track first opened, 4 seats last row in the section, on the aisle. I can stand in my seat, stretch my legs in the aisle and even stand behind my seat w/o obstructing anyones view.

Sec 78, row 23 seats 17-20
