This is now the criteria for a leader? Guess Edwards ought to do well in the election.

With this criteria we'd have never had Geo Washington, Lincoln, FDR or a host of other not-so-good-looking leaders.

Reminds me of a comedian I saw who said he thought the US was finally ready for a female president.....one with big jugs.

Well, nothing wrong with good looks if brains come in the same package. Seriously, Americans have usually voted for the better looking candidate. When it came to Nixon and Stevenson, it was a tough choice. :D How Carter got in, I'll never know. I guess it was just a back lash against the GOP. I'm not so sure that the presidents you mention were all that homely in their time.

OK, there wouldn't be rules if there weren't exceptions. ;)

Wasn't it said of the Nixon - Kennedy debate that the people who listened to the debate on the radio sided with Nixon. Those who watched it on TV sided with Kennedy. Hmmmmm...

This one received a bachelors degree in psychology at the age of 18 w/ 3.96 gpa. At the age of 19 she was accepted into a prestigious joint law and psychology program hosted by Villanova Law School and Drexel University, became a U.S. citizen, earned a J.D. degree in law in 1997, becoming a member of the N.Y. and N. J. Bar Associations. She then received her M.A. and her Ph. D. in Clinical Psychology in 2003. If only she was hot like a chinese volleyball player.

If Hillary looked like that, the others wouldn't stand a chance.:)

and she's a movie star too:

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0954019/

What's more likely? She's a really really really smart porn star or quid pro quo is her middle name?

onewhippedpuppy 09-06-2007 04:58 AM

You figure all politicians are just talking heads anyway, why not elect someone easy on the eyes?

Isn't there an advantage to knowing what you're electing before hand?

}{arlequin 09-06-2007 06:02 AM

IMHO most elections in the last few decades have been nothing more than glorified beauty contests. Just more testimony at how vapid our society has become.
