Jesus dude,

Is that 3000 or 5000 pieces of unread mail?

You need to upgrade to CS3 as well.

Transmit also rocks.

nostatic 09-06-2007 07:15 PM

3486 at the moment. I've got a bunch of accounts and ping them on different machines. I have crap that should be tossed but I've looked at everything somewhere, sometime.

Transmit does rock. So does Adium but I don't have it running at the moment. CS3 will get on the machine at some point...

Note to self: Lure Motion into posting screenshot weekly and call broker next morn.

If that's an Intel box you should do CS3 as soon as possible.

CS2 is really buggy on the Intel boxes. I could never run more than 2 apps out of the suite without one of them crashing.

The interface in CS3 is a huge improvement as well.

I'd stick with DW 8 though. The new version does some weird stuff and Flash has a new action script language that I don't dig yet.

nostatic 09-06-2007 07:35 PM

I don't use DW...I should pull that from the dock.

*poof* just did ;)

I'm on a dual G5 2GHz box. Don't have any intel iron yet. Work might be getting me a Macbook Pro soon so I can retire my 12" Powerbook, but I can't see spending money out of pocket to upgrade my desktop. I hear that FCP and QT rendering are a lot faster with the Intel chip which would be nice...

HUGE difference.

If you want to do any serious video capture look at the Black Magic cards.

Half the cost of other hardware, at least as good if not better than the competition AND cross platform so you never have codec issues.

Works nice in a boot camp box, works under both OS's.

have you seen Premier lately? I cut my teeth on it but have not used it in a couple of years. FCP is all I need and see no reason to go back but the latest Premier is nice.

geez Kurt's stuff is one of the few things i could follow!

some of you guys appear to be some technologically advanced mofo's.

Good to see you seem to have the latest version of iView MediaPro. The non-intel version runs like ass on an Intel box.

I cheated, wasn't in the office today, but here's a shot of what I was doing. I was with a snake wrangler catching rattlesnakes for the Jimmy Kimmel show. We had Uncle Frank and Aunt Chippie out there with us. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1189138556.jpg

RickM 09-06-2007 08:18 PM

Nice knee pads, Hugh :P

Hugh R 09-06-2007 08:20 PM

BTW, thats the wrangler, not me. And for the record, knee pads yes, elbow pads no.

LOL, I'd be covered head to toe in pads if wrangling rattlers.

nostatic 09-06-2007 08:29 PM

Hugh, that looks pretty dangerous. I'd fire the guy who's in charge of safety :p

Standby paramedic with ice for cooling down the limb with a bite, a litter for when we were in the brush, emergency procudures discussed, Ventura County fire/paramedic station 1/4 mile away, identified local hospital with anti-venom, regular and satellite cell phones, presurvey of the areas we were going to to check for snakes, , the snake was "released" not "found", the snake has been the personal property of the wrangler for over one year and is used to being handled. Two wranglers in the background, yeah, we kind of half assed it.

nostatic 09-06-2007 08:51 PM

ok Hugh, but now you're obviously over budget. Have to fire the guy for that ;)
