World Trade Center Site - 09/10/2007
Just walked past the World Trade Center site on my way to the only functioning US Post Office downtown NYC. (Why does every piss poor one stoplight town get a post office, but not Wall Street???) They certainly are gearing up for tomorrow. All kinds of foreign news bureaus setting up and the cranks and weirdos are already coming out of the wood work. At least the tchotchke sellers have been swept away and most of the flip-flopped tourists have gone home. I am taking tomorrow off - no &*$%ing way I want to be around here.. I still feel badly for the families of the dead.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo...leys/shake.gif

I can't believe 6 years have passed by.
I cried that morning. KT |
It's amazing how much happens in six years. My parents' street was renamed for our dear friend and neighbor who was killed in the north tower. In the last six yrs. his widow has sold their house, remarried and moved to VA. Their son has squandered his 9/11 victims fund money on drugs and rehab and has played the 9/11 victim card every time he's had a brush with the law. Both their daughters are married with kids now.
