Great technology. I scanned about 30 sectors. Kind of fun. Great that Google and Amazon put this together.

If the plane is there, it will be found with this technology.

1) why?

2) doesn't come across as "kindly"

anyway, I think this will prove to be very interesting use of technology, whether or not the find him this way.

Seems weird that these images can't be scanned by computer looking for any pixel that is blue. His plane was blue and white. Blue isn't a color that occurs much in nature. And it is probably a bright primary blue, not a gray-blue like some plants can be. Aren't the satellite images in color? (I mean, I realize the images viewable on Mechanical Turk may be B&W, but aren't the original satellite images in color?)

For someone who doesn't care you're spending a lot of time being aggitated. You don't care? Fine - don't reply.

I think that he knew what the risks were, and he has probably paid the piper. He's not so different from a lot of 19th century rich explorers who needed a quest to get out of bed in the morning. I doubt that he wants anyone to feel bad for him, he was doing what he loved to do.

I agree, pretty amazing technology.
